Clearwater George Wein Tribute : On October 22, 2011 the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater environmental organization hosted a concert n NYC at the Symphony space to honor George Wein with it's first "Power of Song" award. Featured performers along with George Wein included; Pete Seeger, David Amran, Tom Chapin, Guy Davis, Suzanne Vega, Lucy Kaplansky, Toshi Reagon,Richard Barone, Adam Amram, Alana Amran, Tao Seeger, The Chapin Sisters and The Power of Song Singers. It was an amazing night with a full house. These photos include shots from the sound check, green room and concert. They are a just a sampling of what we took that night and we selected them to give you a flavor of the night.

Clearwater Earth Day Concert 2012 : A second year for this Hudson River Sloop Clearwater Concert. The theme was to celebrate Woody Guthrie's legacy in this what would have been his 100th year. Held at Tarrytown, NY's Music Hall and produced by Steve Lurie, this was an amazing night of music by some of the best performers in folk, rock, blues, jazz and world music. Covering a five decade span, old friends and new, the performers had a great time right from sound check, when they all realized that magic could happen this night. Playing solos, duets, trio's and groups they shared talent, fun and a mix of their own and Woody's songs. Starting with a reading of Woody's words from his grand daughter Anna Canoni, to the surprise vistit by Pete Seeger all the way to the finale led by Pete this was one of those all too rare concerts that exceeded all expectations. We've tried to include shots that capture some of the spirit of this gathering.

Clearwater Earth Day Concert 2011 : On April 22, 2011, Earth Day, the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater organization hosted a historic concert at the Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY. They brought together generations of performers, all in one venue for one special night. Lengendary performers as well as some legends to be, in a concert that may never be repeated. With performers ranging in age from about 4 to 92, from those waiting for their first album to those with hits and Grammys they had two things in common, a deep caring for the Clreawater mission and a love of music. We were fortunate to be the official photographers for this event. Our goal was to capture the behind the scenes mood and feeling of the night as well as the actual performances.

Pete Seeger : We have been fortunate to have an unusual access to Pete to photograph him both performing and in casual settings. You may recognize several of these shots from Pete's Grammy Winning CD's, Pete Seeger: At 89 and from his newest Grammy Winner, Tomorrow's Children. Our favorite shots though are the backstage and candid shots. This collections covers a range of years from 2006 to 2012.

Ramblin Jack Elliott : Ramblin Jack celebrated his 80th birthday on August 1st 2011 at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod in Yarmouth, MA. Produced by Bob Weiser from WOMR/WFMR community radio in Rpovincetown and Orleans, MA, this sold out show was as much a concert as welcome back to the Cape for Jach who was last here in 1953.
